Make sure to leave at least a 1 inch margin around the edges of the fabric pieces once they are cut.
Cut, after you have made your selection of the fabric and have measured the amount of fabric that is needed, cut the pieces. Then sew, remove one piece at a time from the sectional sofa, match and light the pieces together with right sides together. Then sew a 5/8 inch seam to form the seat and back part of the sleeve. Sewing the hem of the piece by folding the lower part of the lower edge and another of 5/8 of an inch of seam. When finished, place the sleeve over the sectional piece so it was made and move on to the next piece. Working in this way will allow you to stay organized and avoid mixing the pieces of cloth.
